Holy heck, a functioning laptop and access to all the resources I need to work, and we aren’t even done with the first week.
I don’t think this employer realizes how much better they are than the average.

Me, explaining why I avoid movies with unsatisfying endings:
“I don’t need a slasher killer that refuses to stay dead. I’ve got Henry Kissinger.”

Barry is being downright friendly lately, which is a delightful surprise. Behavior-wise he’s basically feral. Coming over for skritches is a big deal.

Update: Barry has picked a spot in close proximity, coincidentally the baby sling that we use to hold Bouncy Dog when we’re trying to work.

@mcc I like rich.traceback though it’s both flashier than what you describe and not quite as informative about background code.

@tk Rich is as much a core part of my Python puttering as Mojolicious is to my Perl. I do not enjoy writing console utilities that don’t utilize Rich in some way.

@lmorchard streaming came in right as we were evaluating BluRay versions of the DVDs we owned, most of which were updates of VHS versions we had before.
I innocently thought streaming would be an acceptable choice, and have spent more on subscriptions over the last ten years than I would’ve on physical discs.

@junebug WELL?! pretty please?
I hold no ill will towards PHP, but danged if I don’t love hearing why people side with a reasonable-but-unpopular choice.

I got working links, huzzah! I need to start titling those links in my notes or fiddle with current note titles, but whatever.

The lump at the bottom is two years of blog posts pulled into a Dendron vault. The lump at the top is this vault’s topic notes.
Doing this in Dendron even though it’s kind of an abandoned project because it’s still the easiest to get notes into — and out of later when my notes hit their next form.

I know proper Org mode is an option and I’m thinking about it, but I was in VS Code and Dendron was right there.
