Unexpected paycheck from $gig[-1]. A very small one.

But as the sages Bob and Doug McKenzie taught us, “ten bucks is ten bucks.”

EDIT oh fine here’s context for the line.

@VE2UWY Let’s put it this way. The kids that wouldn’t get off our lawn have their own kids now.

@ChukG It was my real introduction to Rush, hearing this on the radio in Nevada, asking the adults who Geddy Lee was, receiving a massive infodump.

Turned out I was familiar with the music thanks to all the music afficianados my mom hung out with, but I hadn’t associated them with a name yet.

Anyways yeah. I recognized “Take Off” on the radio before I recognized anything else by Rush.

@VE2UWY When I was young I liked to count from an arbitrary year marker, say 1980, count back to the release of an arbitrary early rock and roll song, say “Tutti Frutti” and compare the current date’s distance from the arbitrary marker to that of the song.

Weird hobby I know.

Anyways I haven’t done that quite as much since the numbers on this side of the marker have gotten bigger, even after moving the marker to 1990.

@flyingsaceur @jalefkowit I’m always mixing up the Skarsgårds and the Sarsgaards

@VE2UWY 1990 was ten years ago, and 2016 was twenty years ago. Time zones.

goodness but Steam’s macOS list is tiny. Yes I know all the reasons. It’s still a bit shocking when three days running their discovery queue has nothing officially compatible with my available system.

Coyotes absolutely losing their minds for a few minutes out there. That was disorienting.
