Got one of those fancy wireless TouchID Apple keyboards not long ago and honestly it’s really nice.
Except for the bit where my hands start hurting after an extended code session. When I get going on a roll I’m hammering at that keyboard like it’s one of my standard mechanicals.
Applied the obvious fix. Typing more carefully? Who let you in? No I’m on the Model 100 again.

@logicalmoody I don’t mind the Apple keyboard. It’s way better than the older MacBook keyboards. So I’ll keep it around as-is for now.
Oh and I’ve got an Apple Watch (a very considerate gift) and for authentication it’s much worse than TouchID. Hands off keyboard, make sure you got a clear path to the lower right button which happens to be flush smooth with the watch surface, fumble and flail a couple times, and presto!

@logicalmoody For basic screen unlocking it’s fine though. It’s just all the other things that get opted out to “TouchID or password”

I know folks like to complain about dependency management in Python, but I added a dotenv, Justfile, and two venvs for today’s idea.
Just saying: Python dependency management could always be worse.

@semifor @genehack true enough. Apparently it was a viral hit or something a couple years ago. Took me a couple years to stop going “STEEMPY!” long enough to register there was a song attached to the name.
But with the view count on that one I figured I’d share a different track first.
